Where the line goes on your website builder.
WordPress: on a site you host yourself, use a header and footer code plugin or your theme's footer. On WordPress.com, adding scripts depends on your plan, so check yours or ask us.
Wix: Settings, then Custom Code under Development and integrations, placed at the end of the body. Wix asks that the site is published and has a connected domain first.
Squarespace: the footer field of Code Injection. Squarespace includes Code Injection on its Core, Plus and Advanced plans, so a site on the Basic plan cannot add it.
Shopify: Online Store, Themes, Edit code, then theme.liquid just before the closing body tag.
A custom site: just before the closing body tag. If your site sets a content security policy, your developer allows our chat address, and we send the exact line to add.
What it will not do.
It does not answer your phone. Calls still come straight to you, and we never make automated calls or send automated texts to your customers.
It does not book appointments, take payments or promise prices you have not given us. When a customer needs something it cannot do, it takes their details and hands the conversation to you.
It does not change your website. The chat runs in its own window, so it cannot break your pages, and your pages cannot break it.
When a full website plan is the better buy.
If your site is slow, out of date, or missing your services and service area, a chat on top will not fix that. Our website plans include the same AI chat, plus a new site built for your trade, hosting, a quote form and small changes by email. If your site already works and you only want it to answer customers at night, AI Chat for your website is the simpler choice.

Does it work on Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?
Yes. It works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and custom sites with one line of code. Wix needs a published site with a connected domain, and Squarespace allows custom code on its Core, Plus and Advanced plans.
How is the chat trained on my business?
It answers only from the details you give us: your services, hours, service area, prices if you want them shared, and your own answers to common questions. To change an answer, email us and we update it.
What happens when it does not know the answer?
It tells the customer it does not know, asks for their name and number, and sends the question to your phone and inbox so you can follow up. It never makes up an answer.
Can it book jobs or take payments?
No. It answers questions and collects the customer's details so you can call back and book the job yourself. Online booking comes with our Pro website plan.
Is there a contract?
No. It is month to month. To cancel, reply to any of our emails and the chat stays on until the end of the month you already paid for.
